The first thing you’ll want to teach your kids is time management. Let them know that they should prioritize and put the most important things first. They can play with their friends, but they should put homework and other chores and assignments first. Tell them that organization is different for everyone and that they need to find a system that works for them. Maybe they color code things, maybe they keep things on paper or on an electronic device. Give them some freedom to organize as they see fit, as long as they’re organized.
