  • Store your shirts vertically in the dresser instead of stacking them. This allows you to see what shirts you have without having to rifle through all the others and make a mess.
  • Make a tape dispenser out of PVC pipe or a similar material. Simply slide the tape onto the pipe and then pull whenever you need! So much easier than tons of different tape dispensers.
  • You can make a drawer organizer out of fabric and cereal boxes! Just decorate the boxes (which you’ve cut to the size you want) and then stick them in the drawer.
  • Take an empty toilet paper or paper towel roll and slide it around your wrapping paper tube. This keeps the wrapping paper from unraveling!
  • Store your spices by using magnets. Attach magnets to the lids of the spice containers and then snap them onto a magnet board to keep everything in place.

  • You can do the same thing with your nails and screws. Simply divide them up, put them in containers with magnetized lids, and then store them on a magnet board.
  • Take an old picture frame, add pegboard or wire to the inside, and then hang up your jewelry! It’s fast, cheap, and super easy. If you want, you can even decorate the picture frame.
  • Slide a pop tab over the neck of a hanger. Now you can hang another hanger on that tab, making your closet so much more spacious and organized!
  • Add extra storage to any room by putting a shelf right above the door. There’s almost always a few inches of space, perfect for storing things like towels!
  • Attach curtain rod rings to a hanger and slide scarves through each one of them. Alternatively, you can just tie about 3 scarves around each hanger, keeping your scarves from getting tangled.

  • Take an old book and carve it out just big enough for your phone. Whenever you’re charging your phone, just stick it in the book! This prevents the ugly mess of wires on your desk.

  • For the wires and cords under your desk, attach a basket to the underside of the desk and put your surge protector in it. This will keep all the cords off the ground, making it safer and more organized.

  • To keep your cords at your desk more organized, use bread clips. Simply label each of them (phone, iPad, computer, etc.) and then snap them around the cord it belongs to! No more guessing!
  • Whether in the kitchen, garage, or somewhere else, store your garbage bags on a rod. That way, you can simply unroll the garbage bags and they’ll easily come off!
